Rodney Clifton nicely reviews a terrific exposé by investigative journalist Robert MacBain of the fabricated tale told in the children’s book Secret Path by Gord Downie, lead singer for The Tragically Hip, about the life and death of Charlie Wenjack, a young Ojibway boy, indeed “the most famous Indian Residential School student in Canadian history.”
