The piece on the other side of the paywall reposted from The Christian Post is a painful reminder that bad news is always good news and vice versa for the mainstream media.

In this case, the bad but truthful news was the “discovery” of soil disturbances in the basement of the Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church near the Pine Creek Residential School that residents and leaders suspected, perhaps even hoped, contained the remains of band children who attended the local residential school. This bad news was eagerly reported on by the legacy media.

The good and truthful news was no human remains were found after professionally conducted basement excavations took place in July-August 2023. This good news got a big MSM yawn.

The really bad news is that Joseph Goebbels, Adolph Hitler’s brilliant Minister of Propaganda, was correct about the power of propaganda.

Other commentators also have acknowledged the persuasiveness of really bad news, what the Nazis called the “Big Lie,” a lie so outrageous that it couldn’t possibly be false.

Indigenous children murdered by priests and buried in unmarked graves near their boarding schools is such an outrageous lie that many supposedly rational people still believe it’s true.
