Though he makes no mention of indigenous issues, this terrific piece written by Bruce Pardy and re-posted below with his kind permission precisely captures how the contemporary aboriginal grievance movement — also known as the Indian Industry — has used the tenets of critical theory, critical race theory, postmodernism, and social justice as their intellectual and political foundation. For example, unsubstantiated “indigenous knowings” told by unnamed “knowledge keepers” are considered so sacred they are held by true believers to far surpass in credibility, accuracy, and authority the logical and empirical findings of the Western scientific method.
