Respected journalist and highly published author Robert MacBain hits a home run with the nuanced historical piece on the other side of the paywall whose message, at least to me, is that members of this “settler" police have always been the best friends indigenous people have ever had, far better friends than their very own aboriginal people whether from their own tribal group or often even from their own families, but especially from their current elites lining their pockets and enhancing their power, privileges, and status at the expense of their downtrodden brethren.
