Perfectly concluded piece: “UNDRIP seems to take precedence over Canada’s constitutional framework.”

Why is this not a central election issue? This will have a hugely negative impact on our province and few voters even know about it! The rights of a handful of self-serving peoples would have equal power as the millions of the rest of us. As equal partners, they would gain the ability to veto projects heretofore made in the public good. Allowing this to pass would be catastrophic for our province and gives one monumental reason (among many others) to vote the NDP out!

most people don't even know about it. Most people don't know UNDRIP was voted into legislation in BC. Most people who do know are too afraid to speak up about it. The BC Mining and exploration act was changed (after 125 years) to give native veto to any exploration. That puts a huge chill on the mining industry in BC. if the NDP are reelected the Land Act amendments will be put through. Eby already 'gave' Haida Gwaii away. He won't hesitate to do the same with the rest of the province. If a lawyer who spent 30 years on the indigenous portfolio as Crown counsel is afraid, I suggest the rest of us need to also be very afraid and start speaking up. at the VERY LEAST speak with your votes. you have 7 days.

Dangerous precedent if passed by the NDP, be aware of the consequences of a few elite having this kind of power over the masses! Think critically about this as the NDP want to destroy our country much like Trudeau has been doing since elected! Wake up people before it’s too late!
